Emily Agin: Paralegal (Palo Alto, California)

Emily Agin is a Paralegal with Rose Carson Kaplan Choi & White LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Agin was employed with the Law Office of Helga Carson since 2001. Ms. Agin assists with the preparation and filing of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions. She has experience with a variety of cases, including H-1B, L-1 and O-1 nonimmigrant petitions, Labor Certification applications, I-140 Outstanding Researcher petitions, and I-485 Adjustment of Status applications for permanent residency. Ms. Agin holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Santa Cruz.

 

Nancy Beckert: Senior Paralegal (Palo Alto, California)

Nancy Beckert has been with the firm since its inception, having worked with Ron Rose since 1992. Born and raised in New Jersey, Nancy attended college at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature. After graduating, she taught Spanish for five years prior to beginning her legal career. She has over fifteen years of legal experience, and has worked in areas such as immigration, estate planning, and contracts. Ms. Beckert focuses on assisting with the preparation and filing of nonimmigrant visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, TN, O-1, J-1, E-2, and E-3 petitions.

Ms. Beckert spends her spare time with her husband and three sons. She is an accomplished flutist, having played the flute for over 30 years. She has been an active participant in the Coastside Community Orchestra in Half Moon Bay for over 10 years. In addition to her music interests, Nancy enjoys knitting, gardening and mostly just spending time with her family.

 

Ann Black:  Senior Paralegal (Palo Alto, California)

Ann Black is a Senior Paralegal with over 20 years of experience exclusively in immigration law. She has experience with a variety of employment-based cases, including H-1B nonimmigrant petitions, Labor Certification applications, I-140 Immigrant petitions and I-485 Adjustment of Status applications She also has experience with family-based immigration petitions. Ann works with great care to ensure that cases are completed in a timely manner. Ann is Fluent in Spanish.

 

Michael Bocobo: Operations Coordinator (Palo Alto, California)

Michael Bocobo provides the firm with IT support and maintains/updates the firm Website. He also acts as the firms Billing Coordinator. Mr. Bocobo previously worked in a similar role with the law firm, Rose Rix Kaplan & White LLP beginning in March of 2005. Mr. Bocobo also gained prior experience with Administrative Support, Project Management and IT within the import/export industry.

 

Noreen Fong:  Paralegal (Palo Alto, California)

Noreen Fong brings over sixteen years of legal experience, including approximately nine years of immigration law experience. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Fong worked at various immigration firms, including Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy and Jackson & Hertogs. She also has in-house immigration experience with two companies and a prestigious university. Ms. Fong's practice focuses on assisting in the preparation of Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing applications for permanent residency.

Noreen is a native San Franciscan where she currently resides. She loves to explore new restaurants, is a very avid music fan, and enjoys going to concerts. Noreen also loves to read, people watch, travel, amusement parks, the ocean, and watching movies.

 

Judy Hollowell:  Managing Paralegal (Palo Alto, California)

Judy Hollowell is a Managing Paralegal at Rose Carson Kaplan Choi & White LLP. She has worked exclusively in immigration law since 1994 when she joined the Law Office of Helga M. Carson. Judy assists with case management and document preparation for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions. She has experience with a wide range of cases, including H-1B and L-1 nonimmigrant petitions, PERM Labor Certification applications, I-140 Immigrant petitions and I-485 permanent residency applications, as well as family-based immigration petitions. She works to ensure that cases are completed in a timely and effective manner, and that clients remain well informed throughout the process.

Judy received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Dubuque Iowa, and her Paralegal Certificate from California State University East Bay.

 

Anna Dunne:  Paralegal (Palo Alto, California)

Anna Dunne is a Paralegal/Legal Assistant with Rose Carson Kaplan Choi & White, where she assists in the preparation of nonimmigrant visa petitions and permanent residency applications. Prior to joining the firm, Anna was employed as a Receptionist/Legal Assistant with the Law Office of Helga M. Carson beginning in April 2000.

Anna is an immigrant from the islands of Fiji. She has resided in the Bay Area since her family immigrated in 1980, and became a U.S. Citizen in 1993. She is happy to be able to assist others in attaining the "American Dream".

 

Mary Thompson: Paralegal (Newport Beach, California)

Mary graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1999 with degrees in Sociology and Law and has been working with Sherman Kaplan in Newport Beach since 2001. She grew up in Southern California but lived in Hawaii for a year after graduating from college. She fell in love with the island way of life and hopes to move back in the future. She enjoys hanging out with her 3 year old black lab in her free time.
